For Kenny, trucking was never just a job. It was something that found him at the right moment.
Kenny, the owner of K&E Trucking, has spent more than 26 years building a business rooted in reliability, hard work, and showing up when it matters. His journey began in 1988 during a period of transition in his life. After a breakup, he found himself searching for direction while working for a paper company in Caldwell making routine deliveries.
One ordinary stop at a furniture store in Linden changed everything. After casually asking about delivery services and mentioning, “I’m a driver,” Kenny was introduced to the owner and hired on the spot. The work was steady, the pay was good, and for the first time, he realized he had found something he truly enjoyed.
That opportunity led him to Furniture Showplace and later Ashley Furniture, where he spent 15 to 16 years as the company expanded across New Jersey. Along the way, Kenny learned logistics, scheduling, customer service, and eventually managed dispatching for six trucks. He wasn’t just delivering furniture. He was learning how to run a business.
Over time, his services expanded beyond retail deliveries. Kenny began working with home staging companies, assisted living facilities, and long term clients like Dickson Properties. His reputation grew for one simple reason: reliability. He shows up early, communicates clearly, and handles every job with care.
Today, K&E Trucking completes five to seven moves per month across New Jersey and beyond. While the work is demanding, Kenny is proud of what he has built and is beginning to plan his next chapter, slowly transitioning into a more managerial role.
From a chance conversation in a furniture store to a trusted name in logistics, Kenny’s story is proof that sometimes the right path finds you when you least expect it.
Today, K&E Trucking plays an important role in both the for profit and nonprofit spaces. Kenny is the primary mover for JM Move Managers, where he handles furniture moves, deliveries, and logistics with the same care and reliability he’s known for. He also supports Moving Forward Warehouse by helping with donation deliveries and pickups, making sure furniture and home goods reach families and organizations that need them most. Whether he’s working with paying clients or supporting a mission driven organization, Kenny brings the same level of professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to doing the job right.
