Podcast Release: MFW
Annie Seelaus featured Meg Freer and Judy Brucia on her podcast “SEE Change”. This episode is dedicated to telling the stories of these two amazing women and highlights their entrepreneurial journeys.
Meg Freer and Judy Brucia are the co- founders of JM Move Managers and Moving Forward Warehouse. The duo established JM Move Managers after assisting family members in downsizing to more suitable homes as they aged. Recognizing the stress associated with moving, they identified a need to support other families in this often over-looked market.
Starting with a dedicated team of over 15 employees, JM Move Managers collaborates with families to help make informed decisions, develop plans, and manage the entire moving process.
MFW was born from the for-profit sister business, JM Move Managers, which provides moving, organizing, and downsizing services — often for clients transitioning from large homes to smaller spaces or assisted living. As you can imagine, this results in a lot of furniture and housewares looking for a second life. Rather than see these items go to waste, Meg and Judy were inspired to create MFW — a way to repurpose donations, support our community, and keep usable items out of landfills.
The creation of Moving Forward Warehouse showcases their ability to innovate within a familiar space by listening to clients' needs and developing a solution that makes the entire moving process smoother and less overwhelming.
